Originating from a Baltic Sea themed kite concept that we developed at Aalto University with my classmates Olga Poropudas and Nelli Oksanen, John Nurminen Foundation commissioned me and Poropudas to plan and produce a kite workshop for the Baltic Sea Day on 25.8.2022.
We designed and made five large kites based on endangered species of the Baltic Sea and five smaller ones as examples for the children’s workshop. Poropudas contructed the wooden structure of the bigger kites while designed them and built the birdle with colorful plastic bags.
Alongside the kites I made visual building guides for the small kites and promotional material.
